A personal macro workbook is a hidden file that should open when excel starts.
If for some reason you’ve lost yours or one simply doesn’t exist do not panic. You can create one by simply recording a macro…
In your developer tab hit ‘Record Macro’
Then in the drop down box titled ‘Store macro in:’, Select the Personal Macro Workbook option and click OK to start recording.
After recording some actions press stop recording from the developer toolbar
Now when you look in the VBA editor you’ll see that you have a PERSONAL file with a Module1.
You can delete the content of the module if you dont want to keep the stuff you just recorded. Then just make sure you save changes to your personal macro workbook upon closing excel.
